We awoke this morning to more blowing and drifting snow. When I went out to fill the feeders all was still except for the chirping of one bird. Within a minute the little guys and gals were swooping in from all directions.
These Finch were among the first to arrive. It must have been a long cold night for them.
Then the sweetest thing happaned....

ah....that looks so sweet! I'm sorry you got more snow. We got a lot of rain last night, but the snow missed us.
Looks the same here in S Dakota, snow and more snow...saw cedar waxwings briefly today in the back yard, couldn't get the camera in time! I do see the finches too.
That photo just makes me smile!
