While Visiting in St. Louis.....

We have been in St. Louis off and on this winter to help our daughter's family.  Yesterday while I was outside with my granddaughter there were a couple of birds in the yard--one which I see often at home, but another that I had never seen before.

The Robins have been here since early January.
Maybe they winter here--I don't know.

This Robin did not seem to mind that I was standing practically in its face.
I couldn't help but notice its beautiful eyes.

Finally it kind of stared at me as if to say,
"That's enough with the pictures!"

Now for the new one for me--
A Northern Mockingbird.
At least that is what I think it is.
(My bird books are at home.)

This bird didn't seem to mind me getting up close either.
Maybe "city" birds don't mind the noise and people
as much as the birds in the "country."

Such pretty eyes and perky tail!
