Baby, It's Cold Outside

Winter has formally appeared.
Some snow, wind and sub-zero temps,
and some hungry birds
sporting their fluffy, winter coats/feathers.

This pretty Mourning Dove
usually prefers to eat on the ground
but flew up to our deck to eat.

This sweet little Titmouse
was swinging in the breeze.

We were also visited by a small flock
of Pine Siskin.

 A number of Goldfinch
were also anxiously looking for food.

And, of course, the Woodpeckers
were taking turns at the suet feeder.

It can warm up anytime!!!!!

Just a Touch of Yellow

Finally a Warbler - A Yellow-Throated Warbler!

He's a fast moving little guy, and doesn't stay in one place very long.
I usually only see him for a few days in the Spring.

Some other splashes of yellow around our yard and woods.

Oh, oh, are you looking at me?
The other afternoon when I sprinkled some birdseed on my deck
to attract the Yellow-Throated Warbler,
this little one gobbled up all the seeds before the bird returned.

I almost missed this "touch of yellow."
It was only after I made the picture larger in my camera
that I realized it was a Pine Siskin.

May God Bless you All

With a Joyful Day!
