It didn't seem to take to long until the eggs were hatched.
Since the nest was really well hidden within the flowerpot, getting a picture was not easy. This picture required a little fill flash in post processing.
But by standing back and using a flash, sometimes I did get more than just a black hole.
Soon the babies were getting bigger and bigger, and I also saw that the parents were Carolina Wrens. They are very protective of their nest and became very concerned whenever we walked past.
Finally one Sunday when we returned from church I peaked in and saw they were almost too big to fit anymore. After we had eaten, I went back out to take one more picture only to discover launching had taken place. I have not seen the babies since; however, mom and dad have been busy.....but that may be another story....Time will tell.

What a neat series of photos! I am thrilled when I have Carolina Wrens nesting near me..they are two very hard working parents! They must have loved all those protective leaves from your plant..how did you keep the plant watered?? It looks very healthy considering the wrens have probably been in it for several weeks!
Neat photos of the babies..wished you could have seen them fledge..they are so tiny and adorable to watch during their first flight!
What a nice little surprise! You got so many nice photos of these Wren babies! I love the Wren's feisty nature and their ability to nest almost anywhere.
Hi Janice... Thanks for coming to my blog. I certainly am enjoying yours. Your baby Carolina Wrens are adorable. Several people have talked about them making a nest in hanging pots. Glad you saw them and got some great photos.
(All of the comments in your blog are good friends of mine: Tina, Barb, and Shelley)..
Hope you come back to my blog. I will definitely be back to yours.
Hugs,
