While I was having lunch today,
this beautiful creature landed on a nearby branch.
Perhaps I should mention
that it was looking directly at
all my bird feeders.
I guess we know what kind of lunch
he had in mind.
At one point,
I think he might have seen me.
But my presence did not seem
to bother him.
Opps -- Where's his head?
Did I mention,
I'm not sure what kind of a Hawk this is?
Maybe a juvenile Red-Shouldered Hawk.

I don't know my hawks --but yours is a beauty.. We had one recently at our feeders (a sharp-shinned Hawk)---but I don't think it 'got' any of my sweet little birds....
