Butterflies and Moths

Recently I have been seeing
some beautiful
Tiger Swallowtails
enjoying our hydrangea tree.

A few weeks ago I saw a couple of
Luna Moths.
When we first moved here 47 years ago,
we had a lot of these moths,
plus many other really big ones
that flapped against our windows at nights.
Now we don't see them very often.

A couple of weeks ago,
we visited the Butterfly gardens
at Chesterfield, MO.

The butterflies there were more exotic,
and I don't know their names.

This one was enjoying himself
outside of the Butterfly House
in the Butterfly Garden.

They are always a delight to see,
and another example of the beauty
in God's creation.

Happy Labor Day... Hope you are having a great day. We finally got some rain here this weekend (which we needed)--but this week promises to be a hot one... I'm SO ready for Fall...

Oh My Goodness--what gorgeous butterflies. We have butterflies here --but none quite as pretty as you saw at the Butterfly Gardens. Gorgeous.

Hugs,
Betsy

Gorgeous butterflies and moths! I would love to see the Luna Moth. I saw one once a few years ago and never again. That last butterfly is the Silver-spotted Skipper. You can always tell by the "white elephant" mark on the wing.
