I saw something blue
just out of the corner of my eye
and immediately thought,
"That's much too small for a Bluejay."
If I am lucky,
each Spring I see some or one
Indigo Bunting.
They rarely stick around
more than a day or two.
So I took pictures as quickly as I could.
Until he finally said,
"Enough, Lady!
Can't you see I'm trying to eat?"

Very beautiful! That last photo is my favorite!
I saw my first ever Scarlet Tanager last week!
I've never seen any with all that white on them! How unusual....beautiful photos!
Beautiful.... We had 2 Indigo Buntings last year in the yard--but they never came to the feeders --and I only saw them that one time... SUCH beautiful birds... So glad one visited you.
Hugs,
Betsy
The same happened here at my home in Ctrl FL…we had one, then two, then 5-6 stop by for the first time this year, and after a few days they were gone. Exciting to see them! Also saw two female painted buntings, but no male darn it!
You are lucky indeed! Very nice shots Janice, such a beautiful blue :)
