The Robins have been here since early January.
Maybe they winter here--I don't know.
This Robin did not seem to mind that I was standing practically in its face.
I couldn't help but notice its beautiful eyes.
I couldn't help but notice its beautiful eyes.
Finally it kind of stared at me as if to say,
"That's enough with the pictures!"
Now for the new one for me--
A Northern Mockingbird.
At least that is what I think it is.
(My bird books are at home.)
This bird didn't seem to mind me getting up close either.
Maybe "city" birds don't mind the noise and people
as much as the birds in the "country."
Such pretty eyes and perky tail!

Hi Janice, I see a lot of mockingbirds here every spring. They enjoy visiting our bird bath and they make nests in the larger holly bushes. It is nice to see an update from you and I always enjoy your wonderful photography.
Oh,I love these pictures.Send a robin or two my way.:)
Lovely to see both of them, and yes, it is a mockingbird. St. Louis is a great place to visit and I'm sure you will see great birds there as well.
These are marvelous pictures of the both birds. I'm surprised that they let you get so close to them for such great shots. We have plenty of robins around here, but the mockingbird is rare.
Thanks for the birthday wishes and for visiting my site.
Hi Janice, Hope everything is going well in St. Louis... Beautiful pictures of the Robin and Mocker... We have lots of Robins around here but I never see Mockingbirds... YET--I know that there are lots of Mockingbirds in TN since it is the state bird....
We are home from our 2nd trip is a month--and both of us have colds.. Yuk! Guess it will be REST for this upcoming week for both of us.
Hugs,
Betsy
