On the afternoon of our anniversary we took my mother by EMS to the hospital. She is suffering from congestive heart failure. The condition has been getting worse since around February of this year, and we are now in the final stages. If we are able to take her back to their home, she will be receiving hospice care.
My mother will be 94 on Monday and my father was 97 in May. The Lord willing they will celebrate their 75th Wedding Anniversary on November 29 of this year.
Here is a picture of them that was taken at my son's wedding in May.

Oh Janice, Your blog made me cry. I remember when I lost my mother (age 91) in 1991... It was SO hard. My love and prayers are with you. I will pray for a miracle --so that she can make it to the big anniversary. What a neat picture of the two of them.
Mom and Dad Adams will be married for 70 yrs. next May. My Daddy died in 1969 --just a few months short of my folks' 50th anniversary.
Please keep me posted. You have my email don't you? It's betsyadams@mac.com.
My love and prayers are with you and your family.
Hugs,
Betsy
Janice,
I will be keeping you and your Mother in my thoughts! This is a most difficult time for both you and your family and your parents. How nice they have been married so long and have enjoyed each others company well into their 90s!
-is sending lots of good vibes and love your and your mother's way-
You and your family are in my thoughts Janice.
You, your family and your mom are in my thoughts and prayers.
Praying for you and your family. I love your parents' smiles in that photo.
Hugs and prayers,
Adrienne
Prayers are being sent from here...for your mom and for all the family.
